Cover Supervisors Needed – Bury Secondary Schools

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester
Pay: From £89 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)

Are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teaching or another career in education? We’re working with a number of secondary schools across the Bury area who are seeking reliable, confident, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join them from May onwards.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting schools by managing classroom lessons in the absence of teaching staff. You’ll be delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining behaviour in line with school policies, and ensuring a positive and focused learning environment for students aged 11-16.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong classroom presence and excellent behaviour management skills

• Ability to engage, motivate, and build professional relationships with students

• A genuine interest in education — ideal for graduates or those considering teacher training

• Flexibility to work day-to-day supply or longer-term placements where available

• A DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one) and two professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
