Cover Supervisor

Location: South West England, Dorset, Bournemouth

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular teacher
  • Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students stay on task
  • Maintain classroom discipline and manage behaviour effectively
  • Provide support to students with their learning and assist with any questions
  • Report back on student progress and any issues to the appropriate staff

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to adapt to different classroom environments
  • Effective classroom management skills

Education:

  • Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications

Experience:

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom dynamics and behaviour management techniques
  • Ability to follow and implement lesson plans effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Additional training in classroom management or education-related fields

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours, typically during school hours
  • Temporary position with the potential for extension
  • Working within a school environment with students and other staff members

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
