Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools in Alton (September 2025 Start)

Are you passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience? From September 2025, secondary schools in Alton will be welcoming Cover Supervisors to support teaching and learning across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

This is a fantastic role for individuals who enjoy working with young people and want to develop their skills in education. As a Cover Supervisor, you won’t need to plan or mark work – all resources are provided for you. Instead, your focus will be on delivering the lesson, engaging students with the material, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

What does the role involve?

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects in the teacher’s absence
  • Managing the classroom, supporting behaviour, and encouraging participation
  • Building positive relationships with students and staff
  • Adapting quickly to different classes and subject areas
  • Playing an important role in ensuring continuity of learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
