Core Subject Graduate - Bolton

  • Core Subject Graduate required - Teaching Assistant role
  • Required immediately for one of our key client schools in Bolton
  • Employment for 1 term initially with a view to this being extended
  • Must hold or be willing to apply for a DBS certificate
  • Be willing to learn and have a passion for development of the students in school
  • Opportunity to Earn £1000-£1200 a month whilst developing key skills

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Core Subject Graduate on behalf of one of our key client schools who wish to appoint someone to work as Teaching Assistant both in class and with identified pupils. The school aim to appoint a recent Graduate who can provide 1:1 support and intervention in core subject areas and are offering complete support to the successful candidate in return.

Our client school are offering employment for a term initially to help with the embedding process of new staff and pupils; however this is likely to be extended beyond this period.

Responsibilities as a Core Subject Graduate in our school

  • 1:1 Tuition with students that require extra support in there subject
  • Lead small group intervention sessions leading up to key exams
  • Take responsibility for revision sessions and lunch time learning clubs
  • Provide general cover to other areas within school as well as your specialist subject
  • Involvement in departmental planning and marking

Teaching Personnel are experts in education and have supported a number of Graduates gain the necessary experience that is required to pursue a career in teaching. Whilst working through ourselves you will have access to regular CPD training sessions such as 'Effective Behaviour Management' and 'Assessment for Learning' to ensure that you have the opportunity to further develop the skills that will contribute to you becoming an outstanding in the near future.

Our client Secondary school currently has 900 pupils on roll. The school has recently received a 'Good' grading from Ofsted, specifying that this is a school where pupils respect their teachers and peers. Located just a few miles from Bolton train station, the large mixed comprehensive Secondary school is easily accessible via the M60 or M61 making the surrounding areas; Bury, Salford, Manchester and Wigan easily commutable.
