Job description

Job Title: Computer Science Teacher

Location:

East Midlands, Northamptonshire, Corby at an Ofsted rated Outstanding School.

£150 - £211 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science curriculum and teaching techniques

Experience:

Prior experience in teaching Computer Science is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • Proficiency in IT and educational technology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience with assessment and examination processes

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position
  • Typical school hours with additional time for lesson planning and assessment
  • Classroom-based teaching with occasional extracurricular activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
