Classroom Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel has been approached by a school in Blackburn which caters for students with moderate to profound learning difficulties. The school is looking for a Classroom Assistant to help assist the students during the school day.

The pupils are aged 3-19 which have SEND, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments and ASC.

The school believes in equal opportunities for all and aspires to create a supportive, caring and dynamic school environment. A successful candidate would have to work well in a team to support the collaborative learning style which the school adopts.

The school looks at each child individually so an ideal candidate should be able to build rapport with others easily in order to understand how each child operates.

Ideally a candidate should come from a caring or nurturing background.

Team teach trained is preferred but not essential.

The working hours are 8.15 am – 2.45 pm.

The pay for this role is GBP10 per hour but could be higher depending on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
