I am recruiting Classroom Assistants who are considering a career in teaching as would like to gain experience in primary and secondary schools before applying for their teacher training.
The role of a Classroom Assistant will be varied and can consist of supporting pupils in the classroom on one-to-one or small-groups, as well as being in control of the full classroom in the absence of the classroom teacher. As a Classroom Assistant, you can work as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Tutor and Cover Supervisor, depending on the school's requirements.
You will be required to work at one or multiple client primary and secondary schools, on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on your availability. This will give you the experience of working in different environments, learning multiple skills and networking within schools.
You will have access to our FREE Future Teachers training programme for graduates who want to work as Classroom Assistants, as well as access to our FREE Cover Supervisor induction course.
You can expect a rate of pay of up to GBP70 per day (based on 6 hours of work), depending on your previous experience and on the expectations in school.
To be successful in this role you will possess a Bachelor Degree and a genuine passion for working in education and training as a teacher.
