Chorley School requires Behaviour Support

Teaching Personnel work closely with a School based in the Chorley area which specifically caters for KS4/5 pupils who have a range of additional needs including; SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and Challenging Behaviours. The School are seeking a hard working Teaching Assistant to work with pupils who display challenging behaviours and help the Teacher manage behaviour within the classroom. The School is based centrally in the Chorley area with close links to the motorway and ample on site parking.

The School are hoping to appoint a full time member of staff from September and the role will likely continue for the following 6 months as a minimum as the role is to cover a maternity leave. The School are looking for a candidate who has experience supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties and/or difficult behaviours.

The candidate will be hard working, enthusiastic, empathetic and willing to work with pupils on both a 1:1 and small group basis. The candidate must also be looking for a long term role within a behavioural unit and ideally hold Team Teach qualification, but this is not essential.
