Job description

  • 12 month contract
  • 'Good' Catholic High School
  • Science FQT/NQT

A secondary school in Brighton are looking to recruit a Chemistry Teacher for the new term. Due to a staffing restructure, a larger than expected intake and re-shuffling of the time table there is a need for a Chemistry Teacher to join their team and help them through the next academic year.

The school is a large Catholic High School in the heart of Brighton where the Catholic faith is taught, lived and celebrated. The school was one of the first in the area to be visited by Ofsted under the new rigorous framework and it is fitting that as the school enters its 56th year, it was judged as Good. 2017 was another year of improved results particularly within the English department.

The incoming Chemistry Teacher (NQT or experienced) must have a can do attitude with a professional approach and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of school life. You will be responsible for teaching all the Sciences at KS3 in addition to some GCSE Chemistry classes, therefore a Chemistry specialism is sought after but not essential. Planning time will be given and you will have the full backing of the Head of Department and SLT but you will be expected to deliver Good or Outstanding lessons.

I urge all Chemistry Teachers interested in this fantastic teaching opportunity to please get in touch! Either give me a call on 01273 862431 or e-mail me; - In addition you can view all our current vacancies and register with ourselves online at http://www.teachingpersonnel.com/register
