Business and IT Teacher

For January 2020, the school which is based in Waterlooville on the outskirts of Portsmouth are looking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic and ambitious teacher of business studies & computing. Whilst the role is suitable for an NQT, more experienced teachers are encouraged to apply unless you are an NQT who can demonstrate outstanding teaching and learning. The reason for this is that they are seeking someone who can positively contribute towards raising standards in the department and improvements made in the school.

The school currently follow the AQA Syllabus and the course proves to be a popular choice amongst GCSE students.

The school are looking for someone who:

• Can demonstrate exceptional subject knowledge with a strong ethos of raising attainment and success within the areas of Business Studies and Computing
• Has an excellent track record of teaching and learning demonstrating a high level of skill which enables all learners to access the curriculum
• Is ambitious in their career and has expectations of their students and own performance as a teacher
• Is well qualified with UK QTS and a related degree 2.1 or above
• Is able to support the continual professional development of colleagues making contributions on inset days
