Are you caring, patient and passionate about helping children thrive?

We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our specialist primary school in Shawford, supporting children aged 4–11 with moderate learning difficulties and additional needs.

You’ll help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and develop independence, while working closely with teachers and a supportive school team.

Your role

• Provide classroom, one-to-one and small-group support

• Support learning, communication and emotional regulation

• Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour

• Build warm, trusting relationships with pupils

• Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals

About you

SEND experience is welcome but not essential. We value people with experience in education, childcare, care, youth work or similar roles.

You’ll be caring, reliable, calm, patient and enthusiastic, with a genuine desire to help children succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
