Learning Mentor needed for PRU

Are you an experienced Learning Mentor looking for a new challenge? Do you want the opportunity to positively reengage children that have been out of education?

A Pupil Referral Unit is desperately seeking a positive, enthusiastic Learning Mentor with exceptional behaviour management skills.

The Pupil Referral Unit is located in Southampton and offers an alternative curriculum to students aged 11 - 16 who have been temporary or permanently excluded from mainstream education.

As a Learning Mentor, it is essential that you have a good standard of education and are able to identify areas of improvement required when working on a 1:1 basis. You will also support across a range of vocational courses, such as Construction and Hospitality, and Outdoor Education activities.

All applicants will be contacted to discuss suitability and then invited to register with Teaching Personnel.

Registration involves an enhanced DBS/ CRB check, identity checks and requires all applicants to supply two professional references.
