Behaviour Support Worker required for Bradford PRU

An established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Bradford are currently seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Worker to join their team this term. This is a full time, temporary contract until the end of the Summer term.There will be opportunities to apply for a permanent role within the setting.

You will be joining a large, vibrant team of Behaviour Support Workers and you will be fully supported by the Senior Leadership Team to effectively fulfil your role in school. You will be required to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs to access the curriculum, as well as effectively managing behaviour. You will be resilient, calm and able to engage pupils with learning activities. Additional skills in Sport, Physical Education and/or vocational subjects such as mechanics, hair and beauty or art and design would also be beneficial but not essential.

Your role will focus on providing the school with an additional layer of supportive behaviour management. You will ideally have a background in working with young people or adults with challenging behaviour and have worked in educational or health and care settings. You will be working either on a one-to-one basis or with small groups based on the pupils identified as needing support in this area.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
