Job Title: PRU Support Worker
Location: North Leeds
Contract: Full-time/Part-time
Salary: Competitive - depending on experience

Job Summary: As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs and challenging behaviour. You will work closely with teachers, other support staff, and external agencies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people facing educational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with emotional, behavioural, or special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to promote the social and emotional development of students.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support the overall well-being of students.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students, providing regular feedback to the teaching team.
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a PRU or alternative educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
