Behaviour Support Worker

Teaching Personnel in partnership with a specialist secondary provision in Blackpool, FY4 area are looking to hire behaviour support workers in an educational setting. The role has come up due to the high need for additional support in their school for the new academic year. The school caters for pupils Year 6 to Year 11 with Social, Emotional and Mental health needs. The pupils will follow an EHCP to support them fully. Your role will be to support pupils and be passionate about their development and learning. You may be required to deal with and deescelate challenging behaviour so we require confident individuals. 

The role

  • Full-time role, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm
  • Blackpool based, FY4
  • Competitive hourly rate of pay £12.90 ph+ depending on experience or additional duties
  • Secondary provision
  • Ability to deal with challenging behaviours and situations in a calm and professional manner

The provision

  • Secondary provision 
  • All pupils have an EHC plan
  • Caters to support the pupils educational and holistic development- providing their pupils with essential life skills
  • Staff required to be able to perform general classroom responsibilities, work with pupils on a small group and 1:1 basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
