Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

Temporary to Permanent

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting children and young people with behavioural, social, and emotional needs to help them achieve their potential in a safe and supportive environment.

What you will do:

  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to support children with challenging behaviour and social-emotional needs.

  • Implement behaviour management strategies and support individual learning plans.

  • Work closely with teaching staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural, social, or emotional needs.

  • Patience, resilience, and a calm, adaptable approach.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
