We are recruiting a committed and resilient Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded primary provision based at a welcoming campus in the Poole area.

This is a full-time position with an immediate start, supporting children aged 5 to 12. The role is ideal for someone passionate about helping young learners develop confidence, emotional regulation and positive behaviours within a structured and caring environment.

The Role

Working hours are 8.45am to 3.30pm. You will play a key role in supporting pupils throughout the school day, helping them manage behaviour, engage with learning and build positive relationships.

• Supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social needs

• Working with children who may present with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication difficulties

• Providing consistent one-to-one and small group support

• Assisting pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

• Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain a structured learning environment

What We Are Looking For

• A minimum of six months’ childcare experience

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN needs

• A calm, patient and resilient approach

• The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

This role offers an hourly rate of £13.75.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
