Behaviour Support Officer - September 2018
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
We are proud of our approach to special needs recruitment. Our philosophy is recruit for the role - deliver for the child. Our SEN branches and consultants have the knowledge and experience that give SENCOs the confidence to choose Teaching Personnel as their first choice education recruitment agency. If you can't find the right job from the vacancies we have advertised - simply register and we will find it for you.
We currently work with behaviour provisions that cater for pupils ages 6-16 who have social, emotional or mental health issues who display challenging behaviour meaning they cannot complete their education in the mainstream school. This provision is student focused and endeavours to create a supportive environment where these pupils can access their education without disruption in classes and have 1:1 attention from their support assistants.
Applications welcomed from individuals who:
- Have experience of working with or supporting children or adults with challenging behaviour
- Can act as a strong and influential role model and provide a positive influence
- Are patient calm and able to support children safely during periods of challenging behaviour
- Have Team Teach training or experience (training can be provided but is beneficial)
- Are keen to make a difference to children who struggle in education and help them make the most of their potential
If this seems like a new opportunity for you - then please get in touch with Bethan our SEN Branch Manager as soon as possible.
