Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant Required for a September start
I am currently working closely with a SEN school in the North West Kent location that are looking for Behavioural Support Teaching Assistants for temporary roles starting in September (with the potential to go permanent). An SEMH/ASC school, the school boasts extensive grounds with excellent facilities.
Ideal candidates will have had experience working with challenging behaviour/supporting students with their academic, personal and social development. The role is demanding and challenging, but very rewarding. The school are proud to promote the development of life skills and social development as equal to academic achievement, working towards an end goal of helping students re-integrate into mainstream learning and preparation for adulthood. Applicants must be prepared to work in the school environment and offsite provisions such as college.
Due to the nature of the school lots of the students are from a care background and need someone who is going to show a lot of enthusiasm and be willing to get involved as part of a team. In addition to this you will be covering across all key stages and will need to have the flexible and adaptable working ethos required to support all year groups.

- Youth Offending Services
- Criminology, Psychology, Music Degree
- Sports coaching qualification or background
- Team Teach/SKIP, CPI, MAPA Physical Intervention Training
- Experience supporting challenging behaviour within an out of school setting
- Emotionally Robust
Positon details:
- Full-Time Role 08:30am – 15:30pm
- SEN Teaching Assistant/Behaviour Mentor
- Ages 10 – 19
- SEN – Social, Emotional, Mental Health
- Daily rate from GBP60 – 70 (depending on experience)
- Potential of permanent contract
- Must be able to drive

Relevant qualifications and experience will be highly beneficial, yet it will be your ability to build relationships and increase pupils’ attainment and sense of worth that will make you a success. Due to the rural location along with the possibility of supporting pupils offsite, own transport is essential.
All Candidates Must:
- Be able to commit to working the hours specified above
- Provide a child only workforce DBS on the update service or willing to pay for a new child only DBS (GBP40) and then subscribe to the update service (GBP13)
- Have no criminal convictions/cautions
- Have a full original birth certificate, full driving licence and/or valid passport.
- If you have been a resident for less than 5 years in the UK a right to work visa (non-EU) and a criminal background check from any country resided in for 6 months or more with in the past 5 years must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
