Behaviour Support Assistant (Primary)

We are currently looking for a One to One Teaching Assistant/Learning Mentor/Behaviour Assistant to work in a Primary School based in Newquay, Cornwall.

This role is to start in September but may be sooner.

The School

• The School is a mainstream primary school which has a specialised provision on site for children aged between 4 - 11 years old, supporting both Primary and SEN. These students have varied needs but primarily identified as Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and behavioural difficulties. The majority of students also have additional related special educational needs such as Autism, AD(H)D, Speech & Language Delay and/or Attachment Disorders.

The Candidate

• Due to the needs of the students, the school are looking for someone who has experience working with young people, especially those of supporting young people with Challenging Behaviour and Complex Needs. Team Teach training is not essential, but preferable.

The Role

• The successful candidate will be required to work between 08:30 - 15:30 from Monday - Friday. This will be a permanent full time position; however candidates looking for Temporary or Part Time work may still be suitable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
