A full time position for a Behaviour Support Assistant commencing as soon as possible. The role is begings as soon as possible and runs untill the end of the academic year. This particular setting also have permenant positions available so Behaviour Support Assitants seeking permenant positions are encouraged to apply.
This particular setting is located in Manchester and provides education for pupils who have varying needs including: social, emotional and mental health. The setting aims to focus on integrating pupils back into mainstream settings, however this is not always possible.
This setting works in line with the National Curriculum and requires a Behaviour Support Assistant to support the classroom Teacher in encouraging and fostering the development of pupils who show signs of challenging behaviour. The pupils within this setting often behave in aggressive manner and can have aggressive outbursts, so therefore the ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with challenging behaviour.
The ideal Behaviour Support Assistant will have:
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 desirable)
- Experience working with challenging behaviour
- Ideally Team-Teach training
