Behavioural Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Location: Cardiff (North)

Pay: GBP65 a day

Start date: TBC (when schools reopen**)

Year group: Primary, Year 6

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with excellent behaviour management skills? Are you seeking a challenging yet rewarding position?

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Behavioural Teaching Assistant on behalf of one of our partner primary schools in North Cardiff.

Role:

The school in question is a two-form entry Catholic primary school in North Cardiff. You will be working in a year 6 classroom aiding the Teacher with a group of pupils who display challenging behaviour. The children have trouble engaging with the lesson and can often become very disruptive. You would be expected to develop a great working relationship with the pupils and implement positive behaviour strategies when needed. Additionally, you would be expected to raise attainment and academic / social success. Progress reports would need to be written each week for both the class Teacher and ALNCO.

Ideal candidate:

  • Positive, energetic, and authoritative
  • Confident to work on one’s own initiative
  • Training / Qualifications related to childcare and/or relevant and extensive experience with behaviour management in children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
