We are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a Primary school that caters for young people diagnosed with Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs.
The Trafford school has been rated as Outstanding by OFSTED with particular praise being drawn to the staff working to find root cause of pupils’ behaviours as the key to releasing pupils’ academic potential. The pupils at the school were noted leave no stone unturned in their effort to forge their excellent relationships with all pupils, which you as a Behaviour Support Assistant would be instrumental in doing. The school has a wide range of facilities, including play therapy rooms, sensory rooms, a huge number of classrooms to allow for small class sizes and de-escalation rooms. All these resources are combined with the previously mentioned team of staff which support all learners in different ways from teachers, TA’s, therapists and other support staff.
This results in a personalised approach to supporting these vulnerable young people. The successful Behaviour Support Assistant would have: A calm and patient manner Knowledge of de-escalation strategies Experience supporting young people Emotional resilience In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
