Job description

One of our partner Primary schools, located in the CF5 area of Cardiff, are looking to appoint a Behaviour support assistant to their Year 5 class, starting in December.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Ideal for Psychology Graduates, or those with NVQ3 in a relevant subjects and previous experience with children (in a school, care sector, sports coaching, etc.)
  • Sports and/or artistic backgrounds are desirable
  • MUST be highly-reliable, consistent, dedicated, personable and empathetic
  • Willing to engage in additional training & development opportunities
  • Hard working, fun loving and caring with a professional outlook

The Role:

  • Behaviour Support Classroom Assistant / Emotional Behavioural Difficulties Teaching Assistant
  • Working in a mainstream primary school, within their Year 4 class
  • Supporting a small group of disruptive pupils
  • Working alongside the class Teacher
  • Pupils affected by trauma leading to behavioural difficulties
  • Full-time Monday to Friday (term time), ongoing, GBP9.5 to GBP11 per hour
  • December start after a one-off Trial/Interview Day
