Behaviour Support Assistant
Manchester
Due to the new academic year, Teaching Personnel are looking for a resilient individual who will work as a Behaviour Support Assistant in our client school located in central Manchester.
This is a full time role commencing in September 2019 and running for the first academic term in the first instance. Due to the nature of the role, this post has the potential to continue throughout the remainder of the academic year. (July 2020)
As a Behaviour Support Assistant, the successful applicant will support and assist pupils in managing their behaviour and in achieving their social and behavioural targets both in and outside of the classroom. The successful candidate will set a good example to students through their own presentation and personal professional conduct. Responsibilities of this role will include:
- Supporting students who are experiencing difficulties in managing their behaviour by supporting them outside of the classroom.
- Working closely with the SENCO and Senior Leaders to assist pupils back into the classroom once they have regained management of their behaviour.
- Supporting teachers with the behavioural management of groups and individuals within the whole class setting, so that teaching objectives are met.
