Teaching Personnel are currently seeking Teaching Assistants in the Devizes area to work in a specialist school, catering for pupils with complex needs. The needs of attending pupils are varied, but may include:
- Behavioural difficulties
- Anti-social and disengaged behaviour
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
- ADHD
- Autism (ASC)
The Role:
- You will be working in a classroom setting supporting teachers and fellow Teaching Assistants with pupils on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis.
- The role will operate between 8:30 - 15:00, Monday - Friday, with occasional after school training until 16:00.
- This is a full time position.
- There is opportunity for permanent employment with this position.
- We are looking for candidates who can start ASAP.
The Candidate:
Ideal applicants should have previous professional experience working with complex behaviour or challenging needs. You will have extensive experience working with young people between the ages of 10-16.
Applicants will be working in a classroom setting so should have a passion for mentoring pupils closely through their differentiated curriculum.
Teaching Personnel offer many development courses through our CPD Academy; such as Autism Awareness, Safeguarding and Team Teach to help support any successful candidates within this environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
