Salary: £89 – £110 per day

Are you passionate about supporting students with behavioural needs and helping them re-engage with learning?
We are working with a supportive secondary school in the High Peak area looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their pastoral team. You will work with a small cohort of pupils who face behavioural or emotional challenges that impact their school experience.

Role Summary:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support focused on behaviour regulation, attendance, and engagement

• Implement behaviour plans in collaboration with the SENCO and pastoral lead

• Act as a key worker for a small group of students, building positive and trusting relationships

• De-escalate incidents using calm, non-confrontational approaches

• Work in both classroom and withdrawal settings

Essential Attributes:

• Previous experience in youth work, pupil referral units, pastoral care, or alternative provision

• A calm and confident approach, particularly in challenging situations

• Good emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills

• Ability to build consistent routines and boundaries

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
