SEN Teaching Assistant – High Peak – Full-Time – September Start
Do you have a passion for supporting young people with special educational needs?
Teaching Personnel are recruiting an empathetic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students in a secondary school in the High Peak area. The successful candidate will join the school’s SEN department in September, working with students who require 1:1 and small group support.
The school has a strong commitment to inclusive education and is looking for a TA who can build strong relationships with students and staff alike.
Key Duties:

Supporting students with a range of additional needs (ASC, ADHD, SEMH)

Assisting teachers in delivering differentiated content
-
Promoting emotional wellbeing and encouraging student engagement

Liaising with SENCO and parents/carers where appropriate
You Should Have:
-
Prior experience supporting students with SEN (in schools, care, or youth settings)
-
A calm and resilient approach to behaviour
-
Good literacy and numeracy skills
-
Understanding of safeguarding procedures and confidentiality

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
