Role: Behaviour Support Assistant 

Location: Cardiff 

Employment Dates: 5th October – TBC

Pay: GBP10 per hour inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay. Teaching Personnel are committed to making contributions to National Insurance and Pensions.

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant role within a Year 5 class. Having worked alongside this school for several years, we have built up an excellent understanding of the type of individual who would thrive as a member of their staff.

The School-

  • Single form entry, Year 5 class with 28 mixed ability pupils.
  • Wide range of extracurricular activities (Dance, Music, Welsh, Code, Cricket, Netball, Cricket, Football, Tennis.)
  • Received a ‘good’ rating in its most recent ESTYN report.
  • 95.9% average student attendance record.
  • 20.9% of children receiving free school meals.

Your Responsibilities-

  • Excellent organisational skills to enhance and improve the learning experiences of all the pupils you work with. 
  • Working cohesively with the classroom teacher and SLT to provide a productive learning environment.
  • Always prioritise safety and security, ensuring all members of the class feel comfortable and confident. 
  • To engage with all the responsibilities that come with being a behaviour support assistant, potentially including staff meetings, parent’s evenings, extracurricular activities etc. 
  • Set out clear and achievable goals for your associated pupil.

What you will need-

  • A recent DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one. 
  • Experience within a KS2 setting. 
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle is desirable, but not vital.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
