Do you have experience supporting vulnerable young people who display challenging behaviour?

Are you interested in working as a Behaviour Support worker in a Secondary school?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary Academy in Bury who are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team after October half term 2019. There has been an increase in the amount of students who require additional support within classrooms due to their behavioural difficulties. Therefore, our partner school are looking to recruit more staff to ensure all students have the correct guidance and support they require.

  • Full-time Behaviour Support role available to start following October half term.
  • Earn up to GBP350 per week, depending on experience and responsibilities involved.
  • Opportunity to work in a newly refurbished building with innovative spaces and state of the art facilities.
  • Work alongside other staff in the Behaviour Support department supporting pupils with behavioural difficulties.
  • Monitor pupils’ progress and report these back to senior members of staff.

Our partner school has recently incorporated a new Behaviour policy, providing staff with additional support and pupils with recognition and rewards for good behaviour. Our client has noted a huge difference in behaviour since incorporating this policy and therefore, wishes to involve it further. All cover staff are given full training regarding the school’s behaviour policy prior to beginning work.

To be considered for this role, you must have experience with children and young people or have skills that can be transferred to the educational sector. Experience with behavioural difficulties is desirable however, any transferrable skills are also greatly acknowledged as guidance and training will be provided.

Our client academy is based in Bury and is easily accessible via the A56 and M66 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Salford. For candidates who do not drive there are public transportation links that the school can be accessed by from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester such as central Manchester, Rochdale and Oldham.
