Behaviour Support Assistant (Full-time)

Location: Barry (CF63)

Position: Full-time

Hours: 08.30am – 15.30pm

Salary: £350 per week (£11.83ph)

Start: October 2023

If you answered yes to any of the above, then Teaching Personnel want to hear from you! We are currently supporting one of our partnership schools in their search for a full-time teaching assistant. The successful applicant will be working Monday -Friday (08.30 – 15.30) supporting behaviour management. The school is located in the heart of Barry, with easy public transport links and good on street parking facilities.

The Role -

As a behaviour support assistant you will be working alongside a fully qualified teacher working within the foundation phase. The pupils you will be working with have varied backgrounds, struggle with communication and can present challenging behaviour. You will need to be patient, resilient and have strong classroom presence.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  • Helping prepare resources for the children’s learning.
  • Engaging with the pupils during lessons to encourage participation and development.
  • Behaviour management and building positive decision making.
  • Liaising with parents and guardians

You will be joining a close nit team of friendly staff; they will fully support you and help you integrate into the environment.

Essential Documentation –

  • Enhanced Child Only DBS
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council
  • Right to work document
  • 2x Professional references

Teaching Personnel will support you in obtaining the above documents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
