Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting behaviour mentors and teaching assistants to work in a challenging pupil referral unit in Wokingham. We are looking for confident, engaging support staff to mentor KS2- KS4 pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school due to a social, emotional or mental health difficulty. The support here required is on a 1:1 basis with some group support required when pupils are integrated back in class. Class sizes are small with up to 8 pupils; a vocational specialised curriculum is followed tailored to leaners needs and behavioural challenges.
KS2- KS4 1:1 Behaviour mentor:
- Must have at least 6-months previous experience in PRU or SEN school working with challenging young people or transferable skills from Mental health units, sports coaching or youth workers
- 1:1 support and good behaviour management required
- Team teach training desired
- Able to commit to travel to Dagenham daily full time ; Monday – Friday 8.30am – 4pm
- Potential to secure permanent contract
