Behaviour Mentor Needed

Our client secondary school in North Manchester is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join their isolation unit on a full time basis from January.

This is a mixed 11-16 secondary school located in Blackley; Manchester the school is located close to the M60 motorway and has a range of transport links situated a short walk away from the school.

  • Full time Behaviour Mentor, starting in February
  • Join a welcoming support team with an experienced SENCO
  • Modern new building with excellent provisions for students and staff
  • Attractive pay rates between £50-£65 a day dependant on experience

"We are currently looking to appoint an excellent behaviour mentor for a February start and potentially a manager for our isolation unit, we are ideally seeking someone very experienced in behaviour management, someone who can come in and hit the ground running. The incoming behaviour mentor must be compassionate and be able to build positive relationships with students to enhance their behaviour and educational experience." Deputy Head

Our client secondary school is a large oversubscribed secondary which caters for the local community. The school was previously based on two separate sites, but merged into a purpose built state of the art site a few years ago, to provide opportunities for all students to progress. With a restructure in their leadership team there has been a transformation in the standards of teaching, learning and the student's behaviour throughout the school. The results of 2016 were above the national floor standards with many subjects achieving above the national average in both outcomes and progress.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
