Behaviour Mentor
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
The East Midlands SEN branch of Teaching Personnel are looking for Behaviour Mentors to work in some of our more challenging provisions for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties. We have had a large demand for candidates who can help to support young people who are disengaged from education and require a positive role model to help with managing anxiety and engagement.
We work with a variety of provisions across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire, specifically the Nottingham City and Mansfield areas. Our clients usually prefer candidates to be available on a full time basis so that students have full time support, however we will also consider part time applications for part time candidates.
We are ideally looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Youth Workers
- Support Workers
- Teaching Assistants
- Care workers
- Experience in prisons, children's homes, schools, secure units, colleges, pupil referral units or similar is desirable.
Please note, although it is desirable, you do NOT have to have had experience working in schools to become a specialist SEN Behaviour Mentor in our provisions. We accept candidates from all walks of life and those who have a variety of background skills and experiences - the most fundamental attribute is a nurturing personality and someone who wants to make a difference to particularly vulnerable children in the region.
For additional information, please contact Emma Gale to discuss the registration process.
