Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking experienced Behavioural Mentors to work in Secondary schools for those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH).

The role is working in SEN Support will consist of:

Providing tailored support and working with children with SEMH and SEN (special education needs)

Creating a safe environment that allows the children to have fun, learn and succeed

Academic support of a 1:1 basis or in small groups

Assisting the teacher

The Ideal Candidate:

Teaching assistant qualification would be desired but not essential

Experience of supporting pupils with SEN on a voluntary or paid basis OR

Experience of working with children in a youth setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
