Behaviour Learning Mentor required for part time position starting in September 2019.

Do you have experience supporting young people who show signs of challenging behaviour? Maybe you have supported young people in a different capacity and would like to support pupils with SEND? We want to hear from you if this sounds like you, or if you are a recent graduate seeking their introduction to an exciting and rewarding career in education!

• Part time position for a Behaviour Learning Mentor, starting in September 2019
• Working in a large modern secondary school in Heywood, supporting pupils on a 1:1 and group basis
• Paid up to £70 a day, dependent on experience and responsibilities
• Access to further development and training through Teaching Personnel's CPD academy

Although experience as a Behaviour Learning Mentor would be an advantage, we would welcome applications from all that are interested or feel they may have transferable experience, particularly if you are Team Teach Trained, have worked as a Youth Worker or Social Worker or if you come from a Sports background.

Responsibilities as a Behaviour Learning Mentor:

• Supporting pupils that show signs of challenging behaviour and helping them to develop solutions to any issues they may have through 1:1 assistance targeting challenging behaviour and any other additional needs.
• Monitoring behaviour of pupil throughout the school day and tracking progress whilst feeding back to teachers, SENCO as well as parents to help develop future plans
• Developing innovative techniques to encourage greater participation within classrooms, helping to improve behaviour in and outside of class
