About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated individuals to join a supportive school team in Cardiff. As a Behaviour & Learning Mentor, you will work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral leaders to support students’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and academic engagement.

This role offers invaluable experience for those pursuing careers in:

• Educational or Clinical Psychology

• Counselling & Therapy

• Teaching & SEN Support

• Youth & Social Work

Your Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with emotional, behavioural, or learning needs

• Assisting with the implementation of behaviour and support plans

• Supporting students with focus, motivation, confidence, and emotional regulation

• Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

• Collaborating with staff and parents to support pupil progress and wellbeing

What We’re Looking For

• A Psychology degree (or currently studying Psychology or a related subject)

• A genuine interest in child development, mental health, or education

• Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence

• Patience, reliability, and adaptability

• Experience working with children is desirable but not essential — full training provided
