Teaching Personnel are now recruiting for a Specialist ASC/Behaviour Teacher. The position is to start March 2018 on a long-term basis, but dependent on how the candidate gets on it is likely to be extended to a permanent contract.
The school is based in the Mitcham. The school in question is a 'Specialist SEN School' for children (aged between 5-18 years) with high functioning autism, additional learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.
The school are ideally looking for a teacher to work with Primary aged students, working with mixed abilities. However, the school would consider a Teaching Assistant to work with primary age students dependent on the applicants experience and specialism.
The school are looking for candidates with the following skills:
- Extensive experience supporting children on the Autistic spectrum, including those with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties.
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Some experience working in SEN settings.
- Additional qualifications in Team Teach, MAPA, Autism, Manual Handling etc are desirable but NOT essential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
