Job description

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Looking for flexible work where no two days are the same?

We are seeking dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our bank staff team from September 2025, working across a range of SEN schools and alternative provisions. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in dynamic settings and have a genuine commitment to supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including ASD, SEMH, PMLD, and other complex learning difficulties.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN

  • Assist teachers with classroom management and tailored learning activities

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Support students with personal care (where necessary - this is not essential in all schools so you can chose to opt out of this duty)

  • Work in line with EHCPs and safeguarding procedures

About You:

  • Previous experience working in schools, youth clubs or other settings that involve supporting children with special needs

  • Confident supporting pupils with additional and complex needs

  • Calm, resilient, and patient – able to adapt to changing environments

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
