ASD support assistant role full-time High Wycombe

Do you have significant knowledge and experience of working with children with autism or profound and complex needs? Are you passionate about inclusion and strongly committed to promoting equality?

A vibrant and caring SEN school in High Wycombe are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, engaging and creative Teaching Assistants. The position is temporary however may change to a permanent post for the successful applicant.

The School caters for pupils with a range of needs, including the following:

  • Autistic Spectrum Condition, including Aspergers Syndrome (ASC)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
  • Dyslexia
  • Dyspraxia
  • Attachment Issues
  • Tourette's Syndrome
  • Pathological Demand Avoidance Syndrome (PDAS)
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

The school strives to be inclusive and nurtures a philosophy of diversity within both the primary and secondary phases. The schools positive ethos along with the green open spaces makes a unique environment where children thrive. The successful candidate will be joining a happy SEN school on their journey from good to outstanding.

It will involve working on a 1:1 basis and general classroom support with children who have Special Educational Needs therefore, we need candidates who have specific experience of providing 1:1 support for SEN pupils - promoting their overall development.
