Autism Specialist Teacher - Required in Bovington

We are seeking to appoint an Autism Specialist Teacher to deliver a range of subjects to students with a variety of conditions on the Autism Spectrum. This lovely school provides education for children aged between the ages of 7 - 16 years old and is a positive and vibrant learning community that aims to develop academic abilities, confidence and independence.

Your main focus as a SEN Teacher will be to deliver a personalised curriculum at Key stages 2, 3 and 4, ensure students feel supported and challenged whilst understanding the needs of each individual child.

The Candidate

• Eligible to work in the UK
• Qualified Teacher with QTS
• Passionate or an interest in SEN (Special Education Needs), Autism and Asperger’s
• Experience working within an SEN setting  is desirable but not essential
• Patience, enthusiasm and empathetic
• Great behavioural management skills
• Knowledge of SEN, Autism and Asperger’s
• Positive and proactive
• TEAM TEACH certificate is desirable but not essential

You will be required to teach a variety of ages and support each individual student to progress and feel confident in their learning. As a SEN Teacher you will positively contribute to the overall programme of learning and ensure you provide a stimulating learning environment for students. You should maintain high expectations and aspirations for all pupils and ensure a safe and secure classroom at all times.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
