Are you looking for part time work? Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant? Do you have experience of supporting young adults with complex Autism?
We are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants for day to day work at a Special Educational Needs School in the Barton area. This position is great for those who are looking for part time work or recently retired Teaching Assistants that would still like some work as and when.
The school caters for students from age 8 - 19 years. All students have an EHCP of complex Autism and can display challenging behaviour. The students can range from high functioning to those with severe learning difficulties and are working to a much lower level to their age. Classrooms are heavily supported with many Learning Support Assistants working on a 1:1 basis. The students are taught to P Levels and some to the National Curriculum, with a very large focus on life skills and independence.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
