We are working with a fantastic school in South London's Borough of Southwark to fill the position of SEND Teacher, leading a class of students with a diagnosis of Autism - ASD.
The students at the school all have an EHCP plan and range from ages 5 to 16, though, with the students working at the primary level. The successful applicant has a choice over what year group they would be looking to teach. The school encourages learning through arts and crafts and student’s interests in things such as cars or football. This is to teach life skills to the students to help with their educational and personal development.
Within this role, you will be supported by SEND Teaching Assistants and have access to various facilities and resources to help you provide students with the best lessons possible. Requirements of an ASC Teacher:
- SEND qualifications or experience
- To work and support students with a diagnosis of Autism
- To observe, assess and support students in their personal and educational development
- To work alongside Management, SENCO’s and other faculty
- To be prepared to offer advice to parents and work with them to support their child.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
