SEN Teaching Assistant

SEN Teaching Assistant required in Bournemouth to support pupils with ASC.

• Supporting Secondary aged pupils with Autism

Teaching Personnel are working with an ASC School in Bournemouth who are looking to recruit experienced Teaching Assistants to start after the Easter break. You will be working with pupils aged 11-18years, all who have a diagnosis of Autism. Many will also have additional needs, such as Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. 

You will be working as a class based Teaching Assistant, supporting the class teacher with the lessons. This may involve working on a 1-1 basis with a pupil, or supporting small groups. 

To be successful in this role you should have experience supporting SEN, in particular ASC, and be confident supporting challenging behaviour.

Experience in a school setting is desirable, however we are also keen to hear from applicants with experience as a support worker, children's therapist, youth worker, or from those with personal experiences of ASC. 

This is a full time, temporary role, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
