Teaching Personnel are working with a client in the DE65 area of Derbyshire (Eggington) who are recruiting for Autism specialists to work in the Outstanding provision. The students are predominantly high functioning and some are sitting GCSE's this academic year.
The school specialises in providing academic and therapeutic education for pupils aged between 7-18 years old. They provide a holistic approach with small class sizes and access to therapists in order for pupils to receive support socially, emotionally and academically. They also work in close partnership with families and other health professionals to ensure the students receive the highest standards of support.
In addition to core academic subjects, the school also facilitates learning in PE, life skills, outdoor learning, relaxation and personal, social and health education (PSHE). The school also prepare students for their future after school life and will assist with A Levels and preparation for University or college.
The students are all diagnosed with Autism - many of whom are high functioning but will present with challenging behaviour or difficulties with their social skills and communication,
