SEN Teaching Assistant required in Sefton

  • Long term job opportunity in a Catholic School
  • Experience of working in EYFS and Supporting pupils with SEN is essential for this role
  • Up to £10 per hour depending on experience

Here at Teaching Personnel we have had a request for a Teaching Assistant to work one to one with a pupil in Nursery with Autism. The child has behavioural issues and needs some extra one to one support to ensure he makes the correct progress through school.

The school is located in Bootle, Sefton and is rated as ‘Requires Improvement’ by Ofsted however have things in place to improve this rating sooner rather than later.

Teaching assistants have received training to effectively support pupils’ learning, especially in phonics. Teaching assistants who support pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities are effective, particularly in the early years. The school have said that the suitable candidate should have experience supporting young children in the Early Years with SEN, in particular ASD

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
