- Experience of working with pupils with Autism is essential
- Up to £60 per day
- Work closely with the SENCO, the pupils family and the Inclusion Manager
We have had a request from a client school in the Sefton region for a Teaching Assistant to work one to one with a child with Autism (ASC) in Year 3. The school have had a number of people support the child but feel they have not built up a rapport with the child to ensure they can maintain good behaviour throughout the day.
The school is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted where the report states “Pupils report that they love the school and their parents concur with this view. Decisive leadership by the head teacher and senior leaders has led to rapid improvements in the quality of teaching and pupils’ achievement.
The schools SEN provision is excellent and disabled pupils and those with special educational needs make good progress because their needs are accurately identified. They are well supported and their achievement is closely monitored. The school is effective in ensuring equality of opportunity so that all groups of pupils make good progress. They are looking for a qualified and experienced Teaching assistant with a good knowledge of working with children with SEN, specifically ASC.
If you are looking for a long term role and would like further information on this position please contact Jack in the Liverpool Primary Branch on 0151 285 3924 or send your CV through to jack.curran@teachingpersonnel.com
