Experienced Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants urgently required for a SEN School specialising in education for pupils with ASD (Autism) located in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

I am looking to appoint a full-time and a part-time Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant for a Special Educational Needs School based in Cambridge who provide education for pupils with Autism. The pupils on role at this specialised School are across the autistic spectrum and their needs vary from high functioning to non-verbal and require support to engage them in their learning and also support them to reach their full potential, within and outside of education.

Pupils at this specialised SEN School will have their own EHCP's and IEP's and will be supported, not only by the educational staff; Teachers and Support within this School, but also with specialised services like SALT, Physiotherapists and many other experienced and highly trained professionals, to help support their learning and progression alongside what you will be providing.

You will need to be available at least one day per week, Monday to Friday and able to work from 08:30 - 15:30. The School is accessible by public transport, but also has onsite free parking.

The successful applicants will have:

* experience supporting pupils with Autism, this is essential

* a desire and passion to support pupils in an educational environment to help support the pupils to reach their full potential

* safeguarding training (although not initially essential, if appointed, this is essential and can be provided)

* Team Teach or other de-escalation training (not essential, however, an opportunity to undertake this training will be provided and is highly desirable)
