ASC Teaching Assistant - Manchester - Full Time

There is currently a vacancy for an ASC Teaching Assistant at a large school in Manchester, the incoming Teaching Assistant must have experience working with Autism and other complex special needs, preferably within a secondary school environment. This is a full time position starting in September and will be ongoing until at least the end of the academic year (with the option to continue on a permanent basis).

  • Full time position as an ASC Teaching Assistant as well as working with other pupils with complex special needs
  • Working at a large secondary school in North Manchester graded 'good' by Ofsted
  • Earn between £57 and £70 a day, dependent on experience and responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils with complex special need on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Extra development opportunities through Teaching Personnel's CPD courses

This is excellent opportunity for an ASC Teaching assistant to join an Ofsted graded 'good' school in Manchester and join a very supportive team. You will be required to support a number of identified pupils within the school and help them on a 1:1 and group basis with whatever additional needs they may have.

"We are looking to secure an ASC teaching assistant from November, to join us a handover phase prior to the maternity cover so we can fully support a transition to working with ourselves. We do need applicants to have previously supported complex ASC in either education or a care setting, but psychology graduates with knowledge of autism and autism theories may also be considered" - Head of ASC resource

For further information or to be considered for this position then contact us at the Manchester Secondary branch today. Alternatively reply to this advert with an up to date copy of your CV and cover letter to request a call back.
