ASC Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a SEN specialist school in Newcastle (NE2) who are seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with a variety of additional needs.

The role will require you to support with classroom based tasks and also work on a 1:1 basis supporting children with a range of special educational needs including;

• Learning disabilities
• Social and Emotional Difficulties
• ADHD
• ACES
• Autism

Although the role is based in a secondary school, our client is happy to consider candidates with a passion for education who come from care work backgrounds. Candidates with qualifications in Health and Social Care, Counselling Skills are also highly desired. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as part of a highly skilled and passionate team.

Teaching Personnel can offer competitive rates of pay of GBP325-370 per week as well as the opportunity to up skill your professional development by utilising our CPD Academy. You will also be supported by our specialist SEND Team who all come from backgrounds in education and knowledge of the current market.

• Willingness to undertake further training
• Come from a care or education background

To be accepted for this role, you must have a Child Workforce Only DBS that is registered on the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.
